Poás is a volcano located in central Costa Rica, in the province of Alajuela. It is at a high altitude, making it cold and surrounded by clouds most of the time. The ecosystem around the volcano contains beautiful crater lakes and cloud forests thriving with wild animals, including 79 bird species, coyotes, rabbits and marmots.
